Abbeyglen Castle Hotel

Absolutely stunning from fountains to countryside floral views. The staff including the proprietor, Brian are upfront and personal. I never stayed at such an exclusive place where the proprietor met each guest and remembered their name throughout your stay. He helped pass out the glasses at the reception and poured coffee at breakfast along with his staff. He sat down with a map to give you directions to where you wanted to go. He even knew the times of the local tours. Amazing. The food is excellent and very high quality. The castle is spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautiful. The staff were so accommodating and the music at night added a special touch. The bartender stayed later because we were having such a great time. We will be back and we thank them for such a fantastic experience

From the moment I arrived at Abbyglen Castle, I was enveloped by its serene charm and breathtaking views. The location itself is nothing short of magical, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning landscapes that take your breath away. It’s clear that the owners have poured so much care and love into the property. Every corner of the castle reflects attention to detail, from the cozy interiors to the meticulously kept grounds. The atmosphere here feels so inviting, making it easy to relax and unwind. There is a wonderful sense of peace that surrounds the entire place, making it a perfect getaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What sets this place apart, however, is Brian, the owner. He has a special gift for making everyone feel like family. His ability to entertain and bring guests together is unmatched, and it’s obvious he loves what he does. He shows genuine interest and takes the time to get to know each person, ensuring everyone feels included and at home. To top it off, he’s an incredibly talented piano player and singer, adding a personal touch with live performances that create an unforgettable atmosphere. His warmth and musical talent elevate the experience, making you feel like you’re staying with an old friend.

The location is superb, the staff more than helpful and the rooms were not just beautiful but warm and welcoming. There is an information prosecco welcoming evening. The history of the area and the hotel given in a wonderful story telling style, this reminds me of the old Irish tradition. I can not recommend this hotel enough

A unique cozy warm castle where you are immediately treated like a good friend arriving for a stay with a fun family yet still given all the freedom and privacy you could want. It was a perfect two day stay- we walked to fun town for most all our our visits there and really enjoyed the delicious food/service at the restaurant. Everyone was so welcoming and genuinely kind. A rare lodging treat.
